Mitsubishi Killing People?
Misubishi has covered up dangerous defects for years. There may have been deaths linked to the defects.
Police in Japan arrest 7 former Mitsubishi execs suspected of falsifying safety reports ... falsified the reports to escape recalling the vehicles ... woman killed and 2 sons injured
About a $1.2 billion loss on operations in fiscal 2003.
We recommend that you do not buy this car.
Our don't buy descision for the Mitsubishi is based on the lack of integrity and financial instability of the company.
Mitsubishi was added to our don't buy list in May of 2004.
We regret adding the Misubishi to our don't buy list. Unfortunately we do not have a choice. This is the second time in recent years that Misubishi has covered up a serious defects. Finally there have been arrests. Executives arrested for falsifying safety reports. The company has broken trust and potentially endangered the lives of people.
Keep in mind that a defect endangers not only the driver of a vehicle and his passengers, it can cause harm and damage to all of us on the road. A company that places money over the lives of people by hiding defects is untrustworthy. Misubishi has covered up defects several times in the last few years.
This company has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is not to be trusted.
So please spread the news and boycott this company. Help keep our highways safe.
When Daimler Chrysler purchased a share of the company, we were hoping that Misubishi would turn around and become a winning company. Unfortunately, Daimler Chrysler pulled the financial plug on Misubishi. The billion dollar bailout was not in the cards. Not only is Mitsubishi lacking integrity, it is also a financially unstable company, with a questionable product line.

The Don't Buy List is based on our judgement and we only invite you to follow our logic. Buying a car is one of the largest buying decisions you will make. We are only trying to help you make an intelligent decision. At times price alone is not enough. For example the Daewoo. What seemed like a great price has come back to haunt buyers. Many are losing an enormous amount in the resale, warrantee, parts, and insurance.
